New Installation. Moving a Table. Recovering a Table. Leveling a Table

There are hundreds of different makes and sized of tables.  We tailor our quotes to best serve you and be the least expensive you can get.

Things we need to know! There are a few questions we need answered to provide a good quote for you.  Things that you should know before contacting anyone for service.

  • BASIC INFORMATION - As a minimum, know the size of your pool table.  Whether installing a new table, moving an existing table or re-felting one - the size is necessary to determine the effort involved.
  • NEW TABLE INSTALLATION- If you have purchased a new pool table from an outside source or online it will be necessary to ensure all the pieces and parts are included in the shipment and the bumpers, pockets and table felt are correct.  Nothing like starting and finding out pieces are missing or unusable.  .
  • TO MOVE A POOL TABLE - If you have a pool table that needs to be moved we will need to know where the table is now and to where it is going.  Make sure the room you plan on having it installed is large enough.  Other things to consider is the need to recover the table and whether the cushions (bumpers) need replaced.
  • WHAT KIND OF POOL TABLE -Knowing the brand of the pool table helps our estimate as each brand is constructed a little differently.  Along with the size we need to know if it is a ball return type table and how many slate pieces it has.  Older model 7- 8 foot tables probably only has a single piece of slate, where the more modern tables (including 9 foot) have 3 pieces.   Most American pool table slate today is 3/4 inch thickness compared to the older 1 inch slates.

Pool table room size recommended room dimensions

To determine pool table room size, measure your pool table play field:

  If the field is 7′ x 3 ½’ – It is a 7 foot pool table and needs roughly 17′ x 13½’ playing room

If the field is 8' x 4' - It is a 8 foot pool table and needs roughly 18' x 14' playing room

  If the field is 9' x 4 1/2' - It is a 9 foot pool table and needs roughly 19' x 14 1/2' playing room

Measure from the tip of the bumper to tip of bumper across the width of your pool table to find your table size.

This information is particularly important when calling for pricing, re-felting or moving as size will impact the pricing on both services.
